Three different Easter series are available. The first looks at what happened to Jesus at Easter, covering his betrayal, crucifixion and resurrection. The second looks at the events of Palm Sunday, the Last Supper and the crucifixion. The third focuses on the experiences of other people in the Easter story, including Pontius Pilate, the centurion and Mary Magdalene.
It is always difficult to know when to run the resurrection session in Ignite. We tend to run it before we break for Easter and then, on the first week back, hold a session that includes an Easter recap and a celebration party.
Year 1: Betrayal Crucifixion Resurrection
To use the first series, you will need a copy of The Bible TV mini-series, available to buy on amazon, new or used.
Permission has also been granted by Scripture Union to use its Easter Cracked resources.
The third session was designed to take place after Holy Week, as it focuses on Jesus' resurrection and gives an opportunity to celebrate this together.
